Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the FindBot app for iPhone. They're deliberately plain-spoken: FindBot is a tool for remembering where your own belongings are stored, and these terms keep that arrangement fair for both sides.
1. Agreement
By downloading or using FindBot you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. FindBot is operated by FindBot ("we", "us"). If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. Your license to use FindBot
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FindBot on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where these terms are silent.
3. Your content
Photos you capture or select and inventory entries you save remain yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display that content back to you — including sending scan photos to our AI provider to produce item suggestions. We claim no ownership of your content and don't use it for any purpose other than operating the service for you. Export of your saved data is available to every account.
You agree to photograph only spaces and belongings you have the right to photograph, and not to use FindBot to catalog other people's property without permission.
4. AI results are suggestions, not guarantees
Item identification is performed by an AI model and returned to you for review. AI can miss, mislabel, or miscount items — that's why every scan ends with your review and edit before anything is saved. Your saved inventory is an assistive index of your belongings, not an authoritative record; don't rely on it as proof of what you own (for example, for insurance claims) without checking the photos yourself.
5. Plans, subscriptions, and credits
Free accounts include 10 lifetime starter analyses and up to 10 storage zones. Premium subscriptions, billed monthly or annually through your Apple ID, provide 100 analyses per month and allow up to 100 storage zones. One-time consumable scan-credit packs are also available. Current prices are shown in the App Store at the point of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your App Store settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends; cancellation keeps access until the period expires. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. If your subscription lapses or your credits run out, everything you've already saved remains readable and searchable.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to break, probe, or overload the service or other users' data.
- Don't use the app to store or process unlawful content.
- Don't resell, redistribute, or white-label the service without a written agreement.
7. Account termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app — see the account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where practical we'll warn you first.
8. Disclaimers and liability
FindBot is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted at this address with a new effective date; continued use after that date is acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
